About Me

I am a counsellor registered with the Council for Counsellors SA and a psychometrist in independent practice registered with the HPCSA. I have been working in the field of psychology since 2007, and have both personal and professional experience when it comes to the mental health problems I treat. I believe this gives me unique insight and understanding of clients’ individual journeys dealing with problems on an everyday basis. I am of the opinion that every client is unique and that a treatment approach should similarly be designed to address the difficulties they present with.

I hold a BPsych Equivalent qualification as well as honours degrees from UN and SACAP. I have experience working as a psychometrist in independent practice, for a number of psychologists in private practice, and in psychiatric inpatient care facilities. I have been fortunate enough to provide volunteer counselling to individuals from all age groups and socio-economic backgrounds, dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD and eating disorders.

I believe that it is privilege to be able to counsel or assess clients when I meet them and bearing witness to their therapeutic journeys.
